Wegen Unruhe und Ruhelosigkeit am Abend wollte ich lernen, wie ich richtig meditieren kann. Im Internet findet man hunderte B�cher zu diesem Thema, aber ich wollte etwas, was auch f�r mich als Anf�nger verst�ndlich und hilfreich ist. Den Meditation Guide fand ich daher besonders als Einsteiger in das Thema prima, er f�ngt mit einer super recherchierten theoretischen Grundlage von Meditation an und man bekommt so einen guten �berblick �ber die Historie und Entwicklung. F�r mich war dann Kapitel 3 �Meditation Step by Step� am hilfreichsten. Ich muss zwar noch �ben, aber langsam wird es. Aber auch das habe ich im Buch gelernt: Geduld muss man mitbringen. Insgesamt kann ich das Buch nur jedem empfehlen!
An excellent introduction and overview of meditation with a scientific background. Highly recommended to all those looking for calm in today�s world.

I bought the book because my work and my environment are triggering more and more restlessness. The book opened up the world of meditation for me. I thought the main objectives of meditation were only about calm and concentration. But it is about much more! The book (easy to read) deals with the history, psychological and physical effects of meditation and gives a first approach to meditation. I was reminded once again that the stimuli of the environment (mobile phone, material things...) trigger a lot of negativity and that life is more than work and "to treat myself�. Afterward I wish I had had a marker to mark the most important passages. I will go through it again when I get the chance and try out the 1 week plan to give meditation a try!

I personally only just recently got into mindfulness and meditation so very new to this, which is why I wanted to educate myself a bit more. This guide is a perfect help for that and has brought a lot of clarity into how I can apply certain practises to my everyday. Can definitely recommend !!
