Incense Discovery Set

The Discovery Set is a Japanese incense sampler from noneedformore, containing 12 sticks across four scents — three sticks of each. It is designed for people new to Japanese incense who want to try several scents before committing to a full-size box.

The four scents are:

Forest Walk: Hinoki cypress and Japanese cypress. Woody, green, fresh. Close in profile to walking through a hinoki forest in Japan at dawn.

I Can Buy Myself Flowers: — Plum blossom. Soft, floral, uplifting.

Offline: Sandalwood. Warm, sweet, calming. A traditional Japanese temple-incense note.

Airplane Mode: Agarwood, also known as oud. Deep, golden, resinous. Considered the most valued wood in traditional Japanese incense.

All four sticks are handmade in Japan using methods that predate industrial incense production. They contain no inner bamboo core, which reduces smoke output and keeps the scent cleaner than standard incense. Ingredients are 100% natural resins, woods and botanicals.

Each stick burns for approximately 25 minutes. The set is low-smoke and suitable for indoor use. Packaging is fully plastic-free. A separate incense holder is recommended to catch ash.
